A Human Mission’s December 2024 Clothing Drive Supports Western NC Disaster Relief

A human mission logo and a pile of clothing donations

This past December, A Human Mission wrapped up another impactful clothing drive, helping provide essential clothing and winter gear to communities in Western North Carolina affected by Hurricane Helene. Thanks to the generosity of donors and volunteers, hundreds of individuals received much-needed support during a difficult season.

Clothing Drive Efforts & Impact

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, many families in Western NC faced significant loss and displacement. With winter approaching, the need for warm clothing, coats, and essential items became critical. Through a community-driven effort, A Human Mission collected and distributed:

Winter coats, jackets, and sweaters

Hats, gloves, and scarves

Everyday essentials like shirts, pants, and socks

Children’s clothing and baby items

These items were delivered directly to disaster relief centers and local organizations supporting displaced families.

The Leadership Behind A Human Mission

This impactful effort was made possible by the dedication of A Human Mission’s leadership, including:

  • Kendria Godair – President & Founder Kendria’s passion for fashion and philanthropy led her to establish A Human Mission, a nonprofit dedicated to bridging the gap between the fashion industry and communities in need. As a successful fashion entrepreneur, she has committed her time and resources to ensuring clothing is accessible to those who need it most.

  • Jessica Boothe – Chief Marketing Officer Jessica plays a vital role in community outreach and disaster relief efforts, working to expand the organization's impact through strategic partnerships and resource development.

Their commitment to helping those in need continues to drive A Human Mission’s efforts forward, ensuring communities receive the resources they need during times of crisis.

Continuing the Mission

While the December 2024 clothing drive has concluded, A Human Mission remains committed to providing relief and support to vulnerable communities year-round. Future initiatives will focus on:

🔹 More disaster relief efforts across North Carolina

🔹 Expanding donation drives for essential goods

🔹 Partnering with local organizations to maximize impact
